Pramod received his Ph.D degree in 2007 from PGIMER, Chandigarh and M.Phil in 1999 from NIMHANS. At PGIMER, he researched on the expression of tobacco-induced expression of cytochrome p450 mediated genotoxic damage. Other research interests include natural compounds and their analogs as therapeutic agents in Leukemia, understanding the prevention and therapeutic potential of natural plant products for cancer. At NIMHANS he worked on the interaction of antidepressant drugs at different regions of the membrane bilayer.

Pramod's current research focuses on  in vivo molecular imaging of breast cancer.
